Product details

Low-ash synthetic graphite electrode is a graphite electrode made of petroleum coke, coal pitch, and needle coke as raw materials, which are mixed, calcined, impregnated, roasted, graphitized, and finally processed. Through different production and processing techniques, the final ash content of the graphite electrode is less than 0.2%. Low ash synthetic graphite electrode is embodied in RP/HP/UHP. When raw materials are smelted in an electric furnace, the lower the ash and sulfur content of the graphite electrode, the better the quality of the produced product.

The low ash synthetic graphite electrode consumed in EAF depends on the steelmaking or other raw materials used, and the grade of steel produced. EAF usually consumes electrodes at a rate of approximately 2 kg per ton of steel produced, while consumption rates for some special steel applications are slightly higher.
